What is the Stigma Action Network website?
 

Stigmaactionnetwork.org is a “one-stop shop” for affected populations, program designers and implementers, researchers, advocates, trainers and donors for learning about the latest tools, technical resources, research findings, best practices and new initiatives in HIV-related stigma and discrimination reduction. The SAN website aims to facilitate networking, dialogue, partnerships and knowledge sharing among these diverse stakeholders around the world. You can join here.

Contribute information.  Share your work.
 
Contribute your publications, reports, web links and events by clicking on the contribute box on right side of the home page. Click on the relevant links and fill out the simple online form to contribute information about your work or information that you are interested in.
 

Search for the latest stigma-related publications, discussions, events

Search for the latest publications on HIV-related stigma and discrimination by clicking on the e-library tab at the top of the site.

Check out the calendar on the homepage for the latest events related to HIV stigma and discrimination.

Use the site search in the header of all pages to search for all relevant information for a specific topic, including resources, events, discussion on the forum, blog posts, etc.
 

Personalize your search experience
When you join SAN, we automatically set up a profile for you.
Once you sign up you can:

  • Edit your profile, enter your contact details and a description of what you do
  • Add a photo of yourself
  • Post messages on your “wall” as well as the walls of other members
  • Connect with other people who have profiles on SAN via wall posts or e-mail

All people and organizational profiles are included in our People and Organizations Directory. Simply click on the tab in the tool bar to view who else has joined SAN.


Promote your organization’s work, signal its effectiveness
Once you've joined SAN, you can add your organization to our Organization Directory.  When you create a profile for your organization, you can:

  • Share key documents and resources with the SAN community
  • Edit your organization profile, enter your contact details and a description of what you do
  • Add your organizational logo or photo of your team
  • Post updates on your wall of your organization’s latest activities and actions

All organizations are featured in the Organization Directory as mentioned above.

Participate in a Global e-forum
You can view and participate in dialogue, consultations and debate around a variety of stigma and discrimination-related topics. If you are interested in starting a new message board topic, simply click on the Forum tab at the top of the page.
